    DAY
    6

    Himalayan Sunrise & ancient Patan

Wake up early and, from this enviable location, witness the Himalayan sunrise. On particularly clear days, the panorama can be so extensive that it stretches from Kangchenjunga in the east to Dhaulagiri in the west. That's well over 120 miles of mountains! Sometimes you may also find yourself seemingly on an island surrounded by a sea of clouds bubbling beneath you. Take your time and soak it all up, as it's only a short drive back down into the valley and to the city of Patan for a spot of lunch. After lunch, you'll take an afternoon guided walking tour of Patan, including the historic Durbar Square. You'll then be driven to 'next door' Kathmandu. Here, you should still have plenty of time for some last-minute souvenir hunting, as shops in Kathmandu stay open until late.
